About the Event

June 22 and 23rd – USCG Boater’s Safety Course, register through the GHCA Office or by emailing the GHCA Office at; OfficeManager@Gulfharbors.com.   Seating is limited, so please act quickly.  This course will be split into 2 days.  Please verify exact time for the course with the office. Boating safety education will teach you how to operate the boat, boating etiquette and the rules of the waterway.  Your can’t just take any course, always make sure it’s an approved boating course.  The USCG Auxiliary Course is an approved course.  As an added bonus many insurers will give you a discount on your boat insurance rates if you can provide evidence of having completed a boating safety course.  The safety course is good for life, it never expires. It is important to keep in mind that anyone born after January 1, 1988 are required to have an approved safety boating course if they operate a powerboat with an engine of 10 HP or more and must complete a FWC approved safety course and receive an ID card.
